Meaning of “8 π; Words”
Be someone’s hero; or ally; or fairy π§ godmother!
Jill Pigg firmly believed that everyone deserves to be happy and knew that “happy” is based on an individual’s preferences. She may not have agreed with that person’s preferences or understood them, but she knew that it was not her place to pass judgement or to say what “happy” should be for someone else. Jill’s talents ranged the full spectrum of what is generally considered “Boy” traits (fixing her tractor or baling hay) and what is generally considered “Girl” traits (sewing dresses or canning pickles) – as illustrated on the About page. At different times in her life, Jill was someone’s “hero”, their “ally” or their “fairy π§ godmother” and thought that the world would be a much better place if everyone could live by the 8 π; Words philosophy; although that is a name her daughter would give to that philosophy and not one Jill used.

The ; is included in 8 π; Words on purpose as it is the symbol for the Project Semicolon. Project Semicolon, “is the nationβs most effective grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for people all over the world experiencing mental health”. In 2014, Jill’s daughter Teresa (Tess) was going through intense physical and emotional pain. She got to the point that she just wanted the pain to end and didn’t care how that end came to be. It was only Tess’ love for her boys and Jill’s support that kept Tess safe. Tess wants to pay it forward by helping others who are struggling stay safe too.
