Katie ~
Katie was the first nurse Jill had at the Cancer Center. She had shaved her head for St. Baldrick’s so each day she had a different wig on. Jill dubbed her the “Pill Fairy” because Katie would come in, leave her meds, and leave without her waking up.
Katie told Jill the story about ruining her crockpot when making beans for her fiancee. The last time Jill was in the hospital, she told her daughter that she didn’t think she would make it to the summer to see Katie’s wedding. She wanted to give Katie a new crockpot with beans and Jiffy corn mix. This picture was taken when Jill gave Katie her wedding gift.
